Does Prediabetes Cause Weight Loss?

Question: Been to a doc, diabeties was not found, high blood pressure not an issue (115/60), I'm 42 at 145lbs. Even did stress test, did great. Yet sugar causes dizziness and pounding heart with chest pain. My ankles always get ring from socks yet don't look swollen. I am loosing weighty fairly quick and not active. Is this prediabeties?

Noted your concern. Prediabetes does not cause weight loss. Most often it is associated with weight gain. To detect pre diabetes , you may have to do few tests like HbA1C, Glucose tolerance test etc. The ring impression on you legs after wearing socks could be due to edema. Is your kidney function good? Any urine tests or blood tests for kidney function done? ( urine protein or blood creatinine ) .what about thyroid function tests?
