Brief Answer:
aspirin can causes menorrhagia..explained , but its not an infertility drug

Detailed Answer:
hello,
thanks for contacting healthcaremagic.

Aspirin , yes being a blood thinning and anti thrombolytic agent if is being used can cause increase in the flow during menses.

I would like you to furnish more details about your infertility treatment, your history, any previous pregnancies, any hormonal imbalance, PCOS, of recurrent miscarriages or any thrombophilias detected. These details are required to evaluate you as a case of infertility as aspirin is not usually started as a drug o promote pregnancy , however it may be started in cases of thrombophilia after conceiving. It doesnt have a role in conception , so no pint taking it for infertility unless you have other medical reasons.

secondly if you feel that the flow is heavy , then you may start antifirbrinolytic like TAB TRANEXAMIC ACID 500 mg thrice a day for 3 days to reduce the flow .

I have had a miscarriage at 4.5 months and my gyno suggested the baby aspirin to help conceive as my blood flow to the uterus was inadequate with my last pregnancy

Brief Answer:
the cause of miscarriage could be thrombophilia, aspirin to be used later..

Detailed Answer:
Its a low dose aspirin , and used otherwise in hypertensives to regulate blood flow. if the uterine flow was found to be deficient inyour previous pregnancy on doppler studies and have been termed as the cause of miscarriage, then you must undergo a thrombophilia screening for inherited or acquired thrombophilias . like LAC, ACLA , ANA.
this would indicate if you have a thrombogenic propensity which can cause decreased blood flow across uterus. hhowever inadequate placentation is another cause whcih can cause decreased blood flow. BUT , all have to be contemplated ideally when pregnancy has been concieved and baby aspirin can be started from the first month itself provided cause has been diagnosed by lab results.

There is no role of prophylactic aspirin therapy to promote conception. it has no effect on tubal motility or quality of ova or have any effect during fertilisation.

You may choose to continue without any harm if you have been advised by your physician and may take Tranexamic acid tabs to control your excessive bleeding.
