Does Loette Pill Lead To Weight Gain Or Weight Loss?
Question: Does the contraceptive Pill Loette put on weight or stop u loosing weight?
I am on it to prevent Menopause coming on since I am in chronic pain with a lot of injuries and waiting for surgery. Does it prevent Menopause coming on?

Loette can cause an increase or decrease in weight and the response varies from individual to individual. It can also help in reducing the weight loss.
It can keep your hormonal balance intact and you will continue having a periodic bleeding. However it cannot delay the onset of menopause. If the menopause sets in then you will stop having any bleeding as soon as you stop taking the pills.

I have had a hysterectomy at the age of 29 because of extreme painful periods and endometriosis.
My GP arranged for a blood test to ensure me that my ovaries were still there and it so happened that my estrogen levels were low and told me I am looking towards menopause. That is why she put me on the pill to delay menopause because of all my other chronic pain. (L5/S1 Bulging Disc sitting on a nerve root so hopefully I will get an operation soon. I have had it for over twenty years and it is slowly more pushing on the nerve root as time goes by)
