Question: Hi, My daughter suffered two weeks back with chicken pox, now yesterday U found my wife also got chicken pox, now it looks third could be me. Is there any way now to prevent it?

I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
Chicken pox is highly transmitted with close contacts.
Vaccine is available for the protection against it.
However it takes few days to weeks to show it's effect.
Chicken pox infection if you have already contracted can't be prevented by the medicine or vaccine as one already has virus 3-5 days prior to appearance of any fever or blisters.
So, honestly you have no good way out.
However in case, you get saved this time, get the vaccination done.

Thanks a lot for quick response. you are correct this could be too late for me. is there any medicines I can take now to just slow down the virus and minimize the chicken pox? if you suggest some effective tablets that should help.
