Detailed Answer:
Hello,

prevacid (lansoprazole) is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). Nexium (esomeprazole) is another PPI. There is no expected benefit (at least not a significant one) from taking two PPIs. On the contrary using more drugs than required, may only increase the risk for side effects. If you'd like to use another "similar" drug you can use an antacid or an H2 receptor antagonist (like ranitidine) which also decreases gastric acidity but from a different pathway.
