Question: Can a trigger point injection cause allergic reactions after 5 days. Given in hip muscle and that is fine. But I feel stuffy and nauseous and tired. Or is not systemic.

Brief Answer:
Can cause such systemic side effects.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
An allergic reaction is not likely after 5 days but the local injection given is a steroid usually. Some amount of the drug is absorbed systemically and can cause generalized symptoms like weakness and tiredness. This can be related to anxiety also.
It is best to relax and take an over the counter anti emetic like domperidone for symptomatic relief. The symptoms are likely to subside in next few days.
I hope this answers your query.
