default
Posted on Tue, 14 Jun 2016
Question: Hi,

I had my last menses on 30 March, had an intercourse on 11 th and took postinor right after.
Took a blood yet today (27 April) and it shows positive, could the blood test result be false positive? Thank you :)

Brief Answer:
Chances to be false positive are very small ,but are there

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for your query.

Blood B-hcg tests are very specific and chances to be false positive are very small ,but are .
It’s possible to get a false-positive result if your body produces certain types of antibodies that have fragments of the hCG molecule.
Please tell me level of your Beta-hcg.

Hence in my opinion you can wait for a second blood Beta-hcg after two days of the first test (B-hcg doubles every 48-72 hours ) test to verify if you are or not pregnancy.

If you want to have a peace of mind or you can't wait ,have a urinary pregnancy test at home with morning urine .
If it will be positive chances that you are pregnant are there .

Best regards

Hi, my result was 28.7. Does that means the postinor did not work well?
