Can Novelon Be Used As An Emergency Contraceptive?

Question: Hi , its almost 70 hrs of having unprocted sex.

Will Novelon work ????

Novelon is a combined oral contraceptive pill and can be used as an emergency pill in high doses within 72 hrs.after unprotected sex but effectiveness is decrease with time.
Usually i-pill is used as an emergency pill to prevent pregnancy within 72 hrs.after unprotected sex.

After taking Novelon and if it doesnot work and if the pregency is confirmed will it effect ?

And can Nevlon (1 tablet) and i-pill taken together.

Hello dear,
Sorry for the delay in my response.
Novelon contains estrogen and progesterone hormone and if taken during pregnancy may affect it.
You can get your ultrasound scan to rule out any congenital abnormalities.
No you should not take so much of hormone simultaneously it may affect your body.

Hi again,

I have taken both (Nevlon (1 tablet) and i-pill) , after you told Nevlon will not work. And also i have taken 1 Nevlon should i complete the whole pack of 21 or should i stop it .
Should i consult doctor now or during my next pregnancy.
