Brief Answer:
You can safely take a nytroglicerin pill...

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking HCM!

If 60 mg of lisinopril doesn't lower your BP then you can safely take a nytroglicerin pill to lower it. I recommend to take it when you are lying or siting (not on standing) because severe hypotension may occur.

Hope this was of help!

Brief Answer:
You should take nitro now...

Detailed Answer:
Hi back!

The usual dose is 40 mg which may be increased in rare cases up to 60 mg.

If you were my patient i would recommend to take a nitro now. Because it has a fast onset of action (within minutes) and will stabilize your BP. It needs 2 hours for Lisinopril to begin it's effect.

Wish you health!

Brief Answer:
It will be no BP drop...

Detailed Answer:
Hi back!

It will be no BP drop if you take the Nitro as i advised earlier.

I recommend to take Nitro while you are sitting (or lying on bed) for 10 minutes, this will help to avoid BP drop. Nitro effect begin within minutes and last for about two hours (just in time when begin the effect of lisinopril). These measures will prevent from BP drop.

Hope you will find this helpful!
