X Ray Done. What Does The Findings In The Report Mean?
Hi there, my x-ray report says my bony talar dome and tibial plafond articular surfaces appear congruous 5 months post ankle fracture. It also says I have a small amount of soft tissue in my anterior ankle joint space and that I have diffuse osteopenia. Can you give me an indication of what this means as I have to wait till after the weekend to see my doctor, please? My diastasis screw have fractured proximally as well. Thanks, Doc.
You have sequel of trauma.Roughness in articular area of ankle joint is due to trauma. It may lead to osteoarthritis in long term. There is small fluid in ankle joint in anterior aspect. There is also osteopenia in bones. All these findings are due to trauma. Osteopenia is due to resting condition of ankle joint.
