Hi,
Atopic dermatitis is an allergic skin disease.in a way it is a type of eczema. usually heriditory associated with other allergic manifestations like asthama.. the skin here is super sensitive, producing dryness of skin & itching at the site of exposure.when itched vigerously a skin rash is created ,which can get secondarily infected, ooze out,get blackened.
So let it be clear that
-being heridatary strange allergy it's difficult to cure it. so it's wise to take care avoid the allergens triggering the itch-rash cycle.
-the key point in managment is to rehydrate the skin. Use of simple vaseline / mildly scented moisture mixed with a dot of topical steroid to control the rash &itch. the use of steroid ointment should be minimum possible to be cautious.
- it's important to be positive &calmposed. yoga practice along with meditation would definately healp.
Take care, Thank you.
