Yellowish eye with red lines and headache, what these symptom suggest ?

yellowish eye + red lines + headache on concerned eye's side Hi ! My girlfriend, who has been experiencing mild headaches for the past two-three days, just checked one of her eyes and found it yellowish with red lines. The headache s side is on the same side of the eye. What do you think it could be? Thanks a lot for your help, Charaf

Hi,

Was the examination done by an Ophthalmologist. Your Girlfriend might be suffering from acute episodes of Glaucoma or conjunctivitis. I would advice you to get it examined by an Ophthalmologist if you haven't. Is there any history of injury to the eye?

regards.

Thanks for your fast answer!

No history of injury to the eyes and she was not examined by an ophtalmologist. She's going to see a doctor this afternoon, a general practitioner, here in Singapore. It's in a medical center so hopefully there'll be an ophtalmologist around.

The headache did not lessen but the yellowishness in the eye did since this morning.

Thank you for your help.

Best,

Charaf

Welcome to Healthcare Magic
There is mild congestion of her conjunctiva of her eyes which is causing the redness. Does she get tear secretion from the same eye as well. If there is itching and discharge it could be due to conjunctivitis or glaucoma especially if decreased vision in that eye which can be dangerous and needs Ophthalmologist consult If she is having only on the side of the headache it may be part of SUNA headache. You need to get her examined by a Neurologist who will be able to evaluate why she is getting these headaches and also give proper treatment after taking possible scan as well.

my daughter is only 24 years old, however she has experienced flashing spots and zig zag lines in the vision of her left eye. This is new to her but I have had these same symptoms for years off and on and I was told they were called Eye Migraines . I am concerned because the other day after the spots occurred she experienced cloudy vision in her left eye and lost feeling in her left fingers. This was temporary and it did not last long. I was wondering if these were still symptoms of an Eye Migraine or if there is possibly something else going on. My daughter does get severe headaches at least twice a week and has for years. I believe this runs in my husbands side of the family with the severe headaches.

I have diabetic Retropathy (sp?) Today I had a 1/2 circle -backwards C, in my right eye. I had a very minor headache. Headaches are very unusual for me. The circle was vibrating and neon. It slowly expanded until it went out of my vision. I have a dr. apt with my GP on the 30th. I read that this is an eye migrane. Do I need to worry or will my apt be soon enough to speak to my Dr.

Hello,
I am a 38 yo white heathly attractive male who masturbates at least twice a day or more. I am not promiscuous, not as in my younger days...now I just watch internet porn or think about it. I Love sex and have since I can remember back to five years old playing with girls. I expected the intesity to lessen with age, but I have come to find out it is not and I am more and more beginning to embrace my nature as it seems this is how I am wired. Will the fire ever subside?

Am querying current line of thinking by several consultants. Admitted to hospital May 2011; lumbar puncture showed elevated CSF protein of 1088 mg/L with 228 white cells, 95% lymphocytes. The working diagnosis was viral meningitis, and I was discharged after 2 days aciclovir. Negative for herpes simplex virus 1 and 2. Developed infection in leg early October 2011, followed by painful groin, then ulcers either side of scrotum - non painful, and diagnosed as shingles. Mid October 2011, following tinitus, buzzing , hearing different frequencies, then vertigo, admitted for 2 weeks in ID ward...CSF showed 614 white cells with 90% lymphocytosis. CSF protein raised at 1335 mg/L. Tested for everything under the sun, incl. HIV, syphillis, Lyme disease, Cat scratch fever (leg infection thought to have been through an insect bite). All negative, incl. ANA. Chest x-ray, MRI scan of brain and whole spine also negative. Admitted again 26th December 2011, aciclovir for seven days, now back home feeling well, if a little tired. Current thought is Mollarets meningitis, but more recently, rheumatology dept. thinking Behcets syndrome, as I suffer from mouth ulcers. My contention is this; I have sufferd from mouth ulcers since a teenager taking exams at school. If I have a job interview, I will get mouth ulcers after @ 48 hours. Dentist thinks stress induced, as do I. I have no aching joints and no eye irritation, also, just found out that HLAB51 negative. I am a 42 year old British male and caucasian. I can t help feeling there s a square peg being pushed into a round hole here. What about migraine; the tinitus, buzzing and vertigo? Also, I took a non-steroidal (Ibuprofen) prior to the first two episodes. Bickerstaff s encephalitis sounds just as plausible as Behcets...or am I in denial? I would appreciate any advice, even if it s to simply face the music . Thank you for your time.
