Would Leftover Fecal Matter In The Rectum Despite Regular Bowel Movements Be Due To Gallbladder Removal?

I had my gallbladder removed August 2013. Before I had it removed when I had anal sex, I never had an issue with feces remnants coming out in my partners penis. He is rather endowed and while it takes some work we both really enjoy it. Recently we started having anal sex again. We have done it 4 times and each time there has been trace amounts of feces left on his shaft. I also tried anal sex one day with a smaller toy by myself and again there was feces. My diet had not really changed besides I can t stomach any sort of fried foods anymore. I have never had this issue and I am meticulous with hygiene. I have done a few enemas hoping to fully evacuate the bowels but sex is always so unexpected and I don t have prep time to do one before sex. Could my gallbladder removal be the cause of what seems to be some feces being left in my rectum? Is there any advice on what I can do? I feel so embarrassed. He and I are just good friends and I just feel devastated when it happens since these days sex between he and I is a rare occurance. He ends up stopping and then never finishes and I just started to feel dirty and worthless. Thank you for your answers.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

This is unusual to have such an experience. Yes, removal of gall bladder surely causes changes in bowel habits as the bile is now flowing free into the small intestine. That is why it is advised not to have oily foods.

Well, you can try laxatives or enema on regular basis, particularly when needed. It is best to ask him to use condom as a barrier. There can be some feces in rectum as it is a store for fecal matter and now not getting full evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
