Hello, My pap smear test came back with LSIL. I am 32 years old and I have not been sexually active for 6 years. I am worried because based on my research, even if I were infected with HPV years ago, wouldn t it normally regress over time? I am still waiting to hear my HPV results but I am extremely worried. Thank you.
The HPV infection can persist without regressing for several years. You can know your HPV status with the test results. And follow up with ObGyn for appropriate treatment of LSIL.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
