Will The Pregnancy Continue If USG Says Less Growth/ Development In The First 2/3 Weeks?

hi, my LMP is 2nd jan,2014. After my due date i got a positive home pregnancy test.On 24/2/2014,i had an ultrasonography. but the reports are not satisfied. the growth or development is less. please tell me that this pregnancy will continue or not. After positive result, doctor prescribed me naturogest and sefstart. but after ultrasonography she told me to take only sefstart for 10days and come for check up. Is this pregnanacy is healthy and continues?

Hi,
If the ultrasound shows that adequate development hasnt taken place, then follow the doctor's advice. Ideally by 6-7 weeks, fetal cardiac activity is usually present. If not, follow up ultrasound is advised. If in the next ultrasound, report is same then it possible that the pregnancy may need termination. Take the medicines given to you. Repeat the scan after 2 weeks.
