Will Mefmind P And Ventolin Syrup Enough For Curing Severe Fever And Cough?

Hello sir,
My son is 1.5 yrs and has fever and severe cough for 3 days .p125-6ml every 6hrs and Ambrolite for cough. Temp increases soon after 6hrs if the syrup is not given and so my paediatrician suggested to give mefkind p every 8 hrs and for cold cough Ventrolin syrup.
Will that be preferable else should I move further for a blood test?

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern for your son, If I would be his doctor then I would not advise for frequent antipyretic, because the antipyretic in this age is not much advisable, instead the cold sponging is the best way to bring the body temperature down, if his fever is not responding to the symptomatic treatment then he has to be taken for investigation for to rule out the possibility of infection, otherwise nothing to worry he will get alright soon take good care of your son have good day.
