Will Increasing Seacod Tablet Dosage Normalize Cholesterol Levels?
I am 76 years old - male. I have just got back my test results and find that my LDl cholesterol shows 133 and HDL 29. I have been taking 1 Seacod tablet every day after breakfast. Should I increase the dosage. By the way I am diabetic and have lost 1 kidney to arthritis. It was 1st stage so I am Ok now,
Thanks for your query. Based on your cholesterol levels and your age, you may actually benefit from other type of medication that is more effective than cod oild to control lipids, called statins. Statins are the only evidence based lipid lowering drugs supported by the most recent cholesterol guidelines. Talk to your doctor to see if your risk of heart disease qualifies you for such a medication.
Hope this helps, wish you the best,
