Will Freezing Relieve Pain In Neck?

I have had a C4-5 fusion(March 2003). Am still having pain, burning, gnawing, stabbing sedation of the left side of neck /top of shoulder, as before surgery. Was told by surgeon that I needed two more levels done. Will freezing or burning the nerves be a benefit to me and what are their ill-effects?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

To guide you properly, there is need to see your current MRI. However, there is no 100% success rate of fusion in cervical spine. That depends, differs from person to person.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Jaideep Gaver, Orthopedic Surgeon
