Hi welcome to HCM. ... Apart from cough and palpitations you have no other symptoms ..... Diagnosis : Viral pharyngitis or bronchitis with secondary heart palpitations .... In such pharyngitis or bronchitis heart rate can be increased and palpitations can be there ... Your physical examination done and pulse also should be checked along with auscultation ..... Drink more water and avoid excess spicy food ... According to history you are having dry cough for which dextromethorphan serup or tablet can be taken ... Take turmeric powder added in milk daily .... Salt water gargles done .... Antihistaminic drug given to relieve allergic cough .... If cough more than three week chest x ray needs to be done .....for further work up ... Swab also taken from pharynx if no improvement.... Consult physician for this ... Take care ....
