Why My Husband Is Affected With STD While I Am Negative?
I have been married 18 yrs and have annual exams & STD screenings. I tested negative for chylmidia in Apr 11...my husband just told me something wasn't right a few weeks ago so he went to the dr, explained his symptoms but the dr saw nothing. The dr did a screening for all STDs & gave him a one dose drink to treat chylmidia, which he thought he had when he went to the dr. He got results back & it was positive for ch.ylmidia.how can I be negative for yrs now he is positive? I am 500% sure I have not been unfaithful

I read your history & description in detail.
If you are 500% sure you have not been unfaithful, then you have nothing to worry about.
I hate to be playing the devil's advocate but, if there is a definite infection, then the other party could have just as easily acquired it from elsewhere. If the IgG chlamydial antigen is positive & raised, it could very well be an old infection & need not mean he is unfaithful to you either.
Also there is the possibility of the test not being accurate & manifest what we call a biological false positive..please check with your doctor on this too.
