Why Aren T Citrus Fruits, Coffee, Alcohol That Stimulate Acid Production Recommended?

For LOW stomach acid it is widely recommended to take things like ginger and apple cider vinegar that stimulate acid production. So why wouldn t it be recommended to ingest other acid producing things like citrus fruits, coffee or alcohol since they also increase stomach acid?

Hello,

Ginger and apple cider vinegar may suppress gut fungal growth and provide good nutrients like vitamin c and b vitamin.

They also use to provide good bacteria to the gut. suppression of bad bacteria.

They may not damage to liver and gi tract as alcohol did.

They can't irritate the mucosa and prevent the ulcers formation.

So better to take apple cider vinegar and ginger to improve acid production.

Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
