General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi

Irregular or delayed periods can occur due to hormonal imbalance.
The cause of irregular periods such as polycystic ovaries, obesity and hypothyroidism should be identified and treated effectively.

Ultrasound pelvis, thyroid profile and blood sugar levels should be taken to rule out hormonal abnormalities.

Abdomen ultrasound should also be done to rule out any fluid collection or any mass which can cause bloated abdomen.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards
