Why Am I Having Positive And Negative Test Results For Tuberculosis?

Dear Doctor,

I have a question about tuberculosis.

I was initially tested positive.Then 3 tests were again done after two days and this resulted as negative.I amperplexed if I have Tb because i do not have any symptom!\Though i'm coughing and having pain in lower left lung.

Please advise.

Hi,
You need to mention the name of the tests for any possible opinion. Normally TB is diagnosed on the basis of sputum afb examination, chest Xray, Mantoux test and ESR. These are basic tests for diagnosis of TB and they need to be interpreted in accordance with your symptoms.
