Why Am I Having Burning Sensation On My Nipples?

I am a 36 yr old female. I am having a horrible burning sensation in both my nipples. I have had my tubes tied and endometrial ablasion and am not trying or wanting to be pregnant. With both my children ages 5 & 3 my milk never came in. I have had this before but this time it is quite severe and is continuing to last for 3 days now. I have no discharge from them nor are the nipples or breasts sore to the touch and no rash, just this painful burning. It seems the only relief I get is by applying pressure to the nipples, as in like mashing my whole breast in with the palm of my hand over the nipple. PLEASE HELP ME?!

OBGYN 's  Response
Hi,

Following is my reply:
1) This could be due to hormonal variations.
2) A fungal infection could be another reason.
3) This needs to be tested by your gynecologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Soumya, OBGYN
