When Can Pureed Food Be Started In Babies?
Hi Doctors. At what age the baby can be started off with first pureed food? I know the recommended age is 6 months. What if the baby has started teething and keeps drooling and show interest the food when we adults are eating? Is it OK to start pureed food earlier than recommended age?

You can introduce solids any time between 4 and 6 months if your baby is ready.
Here are some points to help you decide to go for solid/pureed foods -
head control, sitting upright, less drooling, hungry even after 8 to 10 formula/milk feeds, make chewing movements. If child shows above symptoms he can be started with purrd foods.
