What Was The Prolonged Periods Of Raised Heart Beats?
Hi, I have had heart palpataions for a while but haven't been able to catch one on a monitor until today. I was walking around a track when all of a sudden I felt by heart race. I looked at my monitor and saw HR of 220. I recorded it on the monitor. I noticed my hands felt and seemed swollen. My heart rate stayed above 200 for the next 40 minutes. Tight chest and short breath for a while. Then everything dropped to a normal rate around 100. I have never had an episode last more than 10 minutes max and usually only races for 10 to 15 seconds. Was this a heart attck of sorts?
The only thing which is not to be worried and that is it is yet to be clinically confirmed.
It is not the finding of clinician or cardiologist until and unless it is being confirmed by cardiologist it is said to be nonspecific and unconfirmed.
Ventricular tachycardia always has some serious symptoms like fainting, respiratory failure, and other life-threatening symptoms and in the absence of these, it may not be the VT.
It is not the heart attack but it is even more dangerous than this if this is true or confirmed by a cardiologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hi, Palpitation and increase heart rate up to 200 and above is the medical emergency because it is suggestive of ventricular tachycardia.
