What To For The Block In Salivary Gland Without Operation?

went to urgent care was told I had a swollen salivary gland, kinda like a kidney stone in the gland. How do I unblock it, without surgery. I have no medical insurance I can not afford an ultra-sound either. What can I do on my own? I am a healthy 57 yr women on no medications and no allergies.

Hi.
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns...
As per your complain you are suffering from a condition known as SIALOLITHIASIS in which there is formation of crystalline stones within the duct of the salivary gland or the gland itself and is formed from minerals present in saliva..
In case if the stones or sialoliths are small in size then the patient is advised to take more of sour candies, lemon drops and sugar free chewing gums as it will stimulate flow of saliva and the stones can be flushed out with the flow..
In case if the stones are large and persisting SIALOSCOPY is done which is an endoscopy technique to detect the location of the stones and to subsequently remove them surgically..
In your case as you did not explain that whether you have been advised to take more of the saliva stimulating agents to flush out the stones or not, I would suggest you to drink plenty of water and take the lemon drops or sour candies or chew sugar free chewing gums as it can help in flushing out the sialoliths naturally but in case if it does not get flushed out then surgical removal is the only left out option..

Hope this information helps..
