What To Do For The Pain During Sex?

hello. My husband was treated for Goodpasture s syndrome and has now , as a consequence, cronic kidney disease stage III. and undergoes controls every 6 months. He is treated with allopurinol, prenevel ( and one other drug for high pressure ), vitamin D. After many years of continuous gout attacks ( secondary, result of above described disease ), he has, according to instructions, significantly reduced weight and the attacks have almost dissapear ( also due to redefined dosage of medication, less alcohol and no smoking ), however he still has one persistent problem, which is burning sensation in his urethra (?) ( the tip of the penis ), which is constant, not just when urinating ( comes more in waves ) and so heavy that he has to leaviate it with cold water, event up to 5 times a day. Could this be result of crystalluria ? the first results haven t showed any sign of infection, my opinion is, it is more likely due to his kidney disease and high uric acid levels. There also is no possibilty of any sexual transmitted disease since we are both examined for such diseases due to IVF procedures we recently underwent. This severe pain prevents me and my husband from having normal sexual life ( no desire on his part becouse of the pain and uneasiness) and planning of the family. I know this is very rough description of my problem, but I would be sincerely grateful for any suggestion/answer from you.
