What Should I Do For The Headache Which Is Not Curing After Medication?

I have been getting headaches on the top right side of my head, like a stabbing, pressure feeling. Ive had a head scan..showed nothing wrong. Ive been prescribed Nortriptyline. for night time and codeine/paracetomol during the day. Headaches are ongoing, what do you think I should do next. Thanks Charmaine

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having headache for which you are on treatment with nortriptyline and analgesic drugs like codeine and paracetamol.
Since you have undergone CT scan and it is normal, the most probable diagnosis is primary headaches.
The primary headaches include migraine, tension headache and cluster headache.

Hence you require further examination to find out the type of primary headache and treatment accordingly.
