What Should I Do To Increase Milk Secretion And Uneven Breast Size ?
Hello Doctor... My baby boy is 57 days old; my milk is not enough for him it seems. He asks milk every 2 hours during night time and taking around 20 mins. (1) Initially my milk flow is good but later it gets slow and baby started crying. (2) My left side breast is bigger than right one and it s milk flow is slow compared to right side while baby sucking. Please advice. Thanks in advance.
One important point to remember is that breast milk will never be insufficient for your baby. It is all on demand and supply. As vigorously your baby will suck, reflexly there will be good milk flow. Make sure that in one sitting you should give feeding from one breast only. Initial milk ( fore milk ) is bit watery and it satisfies the thirst of the baby, and after milk( hind milk) is thick and satisfies the hunger of the baby, so if you are changing your breast in one sitting, you are just satisfying his thirst, and he will still be hungry, and thus cry again after short interval. Don't ever give bottle feed ( nipple).
Do not worry about inequal breast size and milk flow.
hi welcome to hcm.see may due to accumulation of milk in that are leads to swelling on that part.so you concerngynec doc for that.plus taking stavarex powder in 1glass of milk which may help in improve the flow.
