What Is The Treatment For Loose Motion?

My husband is a heart patient. Yesterday and this morning, too, he is suffering from dripping nose due to some type of allergy I think. He hardly slept last night because of drainage. He does not have a sinus infection as yet, because the drainage is thin and clear. I want to know what over the counter product will be safe for him to take that will dry the drainage and help him breath without sniffing. Thanks for any help you may give.......

Hello,

Some advices that I can give to you are:
-Use over-the-counter options include Imodium (loperamide).
-Take probiotics.
-Avoid spicy foods, fruits, alcohol, and caffeine until 48 hours after all symptoms have disappeared.
-Avoid chewing gum that contains sorbitol.
-Avoid milk for three days after symptoms disappear.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
