What Is The Treatment For Fever In A 2 Months Baby?

My son got fever yesterday and from past 14 hours i have not given him any paracetamol. He is 2 months and 3 weeks old. Doctor had prescribed fenistil to start from today. If there was no fever for 14 hours should i still start giving him fenistil or wait.

Pediatrician, Pulmonology 's  Response
Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic. Any fever in less than 3 months old should not be taken lightly. Not all kids at this age have overt manifestations of serious illness. There is no need for medications if there is no fever but I suggest you consult your paediatrician and investigate to rule out sepsis / bacteraemia and CNS infection. Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your kid good health.
