What Is The Treatment For Bacterial Infection In The Throat?

Hi, I had a virus and then a secondary bacterial infection. I was prescribed antibiotics and have finished the prescription. As part of my illness I had violent coughing fits, these now only seem to happen at night. However, I have lost my voice and my throat is sore. Is there anyway I can help my throat get better and my voice return?

Hello,

There is not too much to be done for your voice. It is important avoid talking in order to help your vocal cords regenerate and also use a local anti-septic throat spray with propolis and vitamins.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
