What Is The Solution For Body Itching?

I am a diabetic, and I take metformin and also fluoxetine for depression. I was wondering is it the diseases that have me itching or something else. There are no apparent rashes, although I m making scratch marks on my back with all the scratching I do. Sometimes I itch from my head to my toes. What can I do to stop this?

Hi,

In a diabetic patient, Skin will become dry and reduce the elasticity (collagen fibers) Dry skin itch more.

If good glycemic control and monitoring Blood glucose levels will relieve the problem to some extent. Good moisturizers and good nutrition will get the maximum effect.

Colored fruits like orange, pomegranate, papaya, watermelon, and black grapes. Colored vegetables like carrot, beetroot, beans, tomatoes and green leafy vegetables will reduce the problem.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
