General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
Previously there was a schedule of 5 doses of anti rabies vaccination, now it is scheduled to be 4 doses, if one more booster dose is taken after 1 year of the last dose it will be for benefit only.
Normally after the dog bite, if the dog is alive and healthy to be observed for 15 days, there is no necessity for A.R.V. vaccination.Of course you can have it for good.
If it is a stamped dog of rabies, along with A.R.V. anti rabies serum is to be injected.
Wishing you good luck . Thank you.
