What Is The Removal Timeline For Screws And Plate Used For Fracture?

I had a Platue fracture the end of June last year and the screws and plate are causing me ALOT of pain. I was wondering if it can be removed now even though it hasn t been a year and if it is a out patient surgery or if i will be in the hospital a couple days.

Hello,

The removal can be decided based on the stability of the bone healing and we need an x-ray to judge it.

In a year plus or two the plate and screws can be removed if the bone has healed far better.
