yes--hello--I just had my hair semi colored two days ago. the next day I had CRAZY itchy scalp and face swelling. ( its on my forehead and the side of my face.) how long does this swelling typically last? I also never had this reaction before other than a little itchy scalp, but I just had mortons neuroma foot surgery 4 weeks ago. I took two Benadryl s yesterday and one this morning. how long should it last? is it dangerous if I let it take itsc ourse? im not having difficulty breathing. thanks
Hello, Thank you for posting on HCM. It seems you have contact dermatitis due to hair color dye. I would recommend you consultant a dermatologist, who would prescribe you short course of oral corticosteroidsa and antibiotics if required. Also, apply a corticosteroid lotion over scalp twice a day. Take oral antihistaminics as required to relieve itching. Cold compresses can also provide some soothing.
