What Is The Red Spot On Biceps That Burns And Itches?
Hello Doctor, I have a mediem red stain in my biceps area which burns and itches. The same pattern is starting with minor dots that look the same on the other arm? I've had herpes in my tendons, never on the skin. I don't know if it is allergies, fungus or a spider bite. What could it be? Thanks!
Understanding your concern. Burning and itching spot on bicep seems to be due to dermatitis as it is mainly allergic reaction which can be due to sun exposure, any soap, detergent. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to
- Avoid sun exposure and keep this area covered. - Apply mild topical steroid cream. - Do Not apply soap, wash with only cold water. - Take Allegra 180 mg one a day.
If symptoms keep on persisting visit dermatologist once and get it examined and start treatment accordingly.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry
