What Is The Recovery Time For A Torn Achilles Tendon Skin?

So I cut the skin covering my achilles tendon while running bleachers and it kind of looks like an arch. I ended up getting three dissolvable stitches and twelve regular. The three were to hold the skin down and I ve had my stitches out for almost two weeks and where the dissolvable stitches are it hurts to touch it feels lije soneine is stabbing me with a toothpick when I touch it. I can t wear shoes without it hurting.. What do I do?

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

I recommend consulting with your doctor for a physical exam. It could be just local inflammation. But it is necessary performing a physical exam in order to investigate if everything is okay.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
