What Is The Reason For Redness, Itching, Bumpy Rash On Eyelids?

ive been to numerous dermatologists and doctors trying to solve my problem and we cant figure it out. One day I started to notice that my eyelids were developing a very red itchy bumpy rash. After awhile i started to put together that it was probably my eye makeup , so I completely eliminated everything from touching my eyes. Although the itchy rash dissappeared, a new problem began. I wake up every morning with swollen eyes, This isnt normal puffiness , this is very prominent swelling. Ive changed my detergents, shampoos, made sure not to touch my eyes, be careful of fragrance, everything I can think of, yet I'm still waking up with swollen eyes. The onlyyyy salvation I have to this problem is when I apply the desonide cream before bed, I wake up with normal looking eyes, but I'm also aware of how dangerous desonide cream is and to use it sparingly.

Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about these symptoms that you have been experiencing. From all the information you have provided, this is most likely caused by allergy. I for sure don't know what this is but you would need to meticulously screen all you used mostly at night before going to bed to see if there is a possible item that can be identified. Beside desonide cream, you may want to use antihistamines like loratadine to see if it helps because of the limited side effects.

I hope this addresses your query fully. Thank you so much for using our services and please feel free to ask for clarifications if need be. I wish you the best of health.
