What Is The Impression From The Biopsy Report Of The Lump In Neck?

my daughter is 4 and half year old.Her FNAC (Biopsy) report of Lump in Neck is
Microscopy - Aspirate reveals degenerating epitheloid cell granulomes. Background is necrotic. ZN stain reveals no acid fast bacilli.
OPINION -GRANULOMATOUS LYMPHADENITIS, LEFT CERVICAL LYMPH NODE
My doctor says its Tuberculosis.Please suggest

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

The lab report indicates that the cells in the lymph node are more likely to be that of TB lymphadenitis. This is a common chronic illness and you must discuss in detail with a pediatrician before starting any treatment. Since this is a chronic condition, it requires medications to be taken for about 9 months to a year along with taking good food and maintaining hygienic practices.
