What Is The Ideal Time Needed To Get Cure From Heroin Addiction?
my son and his girlfriend have admitted to using herion for 6 months approx. 1 to 2 times per day. 7 days later they claim they are cured and are not having withdrawals both have been drug tested and show no herion use. what are the chances they are clean.
Assuming you are getting reliable information from your son and his girlfriend, it is indeed possible that they are clean. The average length of symptoms from heroin withdrawal is 3-5 days. Drug tests vary, but the majority are quite sensitive in picking up heroin usage.
I would recommend maintaining some degree of skepticism, while giving them the benefit of the doubt. Even if they are clean, the rate of relapse, unfortunately, is high. At this point, though, positive reinforcement for their achievement is called for. I also suggest they seek some form of professional counseling, support group, or other therapy.
Best of Luck.... and hope this helped...
