What Is The Huge Swelling On The Top Of Ear Is And Is Painful Too?

I have a huge swelling on the top of the ear, right next to where the ear is attached to the head, towards the front. It's been there for two days, and it causes a very discomforting pain on the ear. There seems to be a slight bulge there, and it's red in colour. I'm thinking it's a boil. What is it? and what can i do?

Hi,
From history it seems that there might be having folliculitis producing swelling, pain and induration.
Go for one antibiotic, anti-inflammatory medicine course after getting prescription from your doctor.
Once pus is formed it should be excised so it is advisable to go for antibiotic as early as possible.
Ok and take care.
