What Is The Function Of Endogest?
I am 26 years old. I am pregnant for 1 months. When I went to doctor for check up, he gave me medicine : 1) for folic adic(Folinext) 2) endogest - 200. I have taken endogest for 15 days 1 pill at night into vagina. Now again when I went up he continued those two pills.I want to know: - What is the need of the endogest? - How long it should be taken? - is there any side effect of these pills on child? The doctor made my sonography 2 times, - how often it should be made in pregnancy ? - is there any side effect of sonography on developing child? The doctor didn’t give me any kind of vitamin tablets. -On which months the vitamin should be taken? Which type of vitamin I should take at each month?

I will answer your questions one by one. Susten is a progestin which is a female hormone. It works by correcting the levels of progesterone, thereby stimulating the lining of the uterus to prepare for a pregnancy and protect an existing pregnancy. You may have to take the drug for around a month or two. Do not worry, these pills will not affect your baby.
Ultrasound does not affect your fetus. It is a safe investigation in pregnancy. After confirming pregnancy with a first scan,another important time is around 18-22 weeks, when an anomaly scan should be taken to rule out any fetal defects. These are the 2 essential scans to be taken. Later scan may be taken, only if you have any symptoms. You can take iron and folic acid tablet throughout first three months of your pregnancy. Iron tablets can be continued further if required.
