What Is The Cure For The Fluid In The Ear And Pressure While Talking?

Good morning Dr.:

I had fluid coming from my ear, went to the ENT who prescribed Amoxacillin for 10 day. within about 10 days, the fluid started up again. I went back to the ENT, no infection present, fluid not coming from inner ear. So I was told to use Hyrocortizone for the outer ear. The dryn/flakey skin is bettet but my ear still has fluid coming out and it is not painful but i can feel the pressure and cloudyness when talking and listening.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have fluid in the ear and you feel pressure while talking which is due to ear wax accumulation mainly. It could be due to TMJ problems, ear drum injury or perforation. I would suggest you not to panic about this. For pressure in ear you can use ciplox or gatiflox ear drops for local application. You should go for culture and sensitivity test of ear discharge to know about specific bacteria. Start with antibiotic course of that particular bacteria. You should take syrup gelusil-plus every 4-6 hours for better relief of your symptoms. You should visit ENT specialist and o for otoscopic examination and start treatment after proper prescription. Put some anti-fungal drops for some time. Keep ears dry and clean.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
