What Is The Cure For Small Red Bumps On Legs Of A 5 Year Old Child Which Is Itching After Touching?

My 5 year old son has small red bumps on his legs, going up his back to his shoulders and arms. More concentrated on the lower leg. The seem to be getting worse. Some have a small black dot in the centre. He says the itch when you touch them and says rubbing them hurts.

Hi,
Thank you for your query.
The red bumps with itching could be due to insect bites.
I suggest you to apply a calamine containing lotion externally over skin for soothing effect.
And you can give an oral antihistamine such as cetirizine in prescribed dose to get rid off itching.
Hope I have answered your query.
Regards.
