Hallow Dear,

You have not clarified what was the duration of your pregnancy. I presume it to be less than 9 weeks of gestation.

It seems you have consumed the tablets haphazardly. For termination of pregnancy up to 9 weeks of gestation, WHO has recommended two regimes:
1. Tab. Mifepristone 200 mg to be followed after 24-48 hours by Tab. Misoprostol 800 micrograms as single dose by vaginal, buccal or sublingual route. The dose of Misoprostol may be reduced to half if the pregnancy duration is not more than 7 weeks.
2. Misoprostol only 800 micrograms by vaginal or sublingual route every 3-12 hours up to 3 doses.

Usually after last tablet of Misoprostol, the abortion starts within 24 hours; however, occasionally it may be delayed up to 7 days. The completeness of abortion may be ascertained by ultrasonography. Urine pregnancy test requires more than a week to become negative after abortion.

You are having heavy bleeding which indicates that either you have aborted incompletely or your uterus is not contracting sufficiently strongly even after complete abortion. The later possibility is rare in this method of termination. Repeating Misoprostol (with Obstetrician's advice only) will take care of both the conditions. If it does not work, you might have to undergo surgical evacuation of the uterus.

Please do not ignore. Report to the Obstetrician ASAP.
