What Is The Cause Of Stomach Pain?

I was fine this morning but a few hours after breakfast my stomach muscles felt like they were tightening. It's almost like trapped air, but when i sit the pain goes away. Its when i stand up the pain radiates all the way to my mid back. There's also pain when i put pressure on my upper belly.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood your concerns.
Pain in the upper abdomen on pressure and referred pan on the back on standing up indicates the following:
Gastric ulcer on the posterior wall of stomach.
Or Pancreatitis.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Get started on a PPI like Omeprazole.
Antacid every three hours particularly on empty stomach.
Clinical valuation and examination by a Gastroenterologist and
An upper GI Endoscopy.
Ultrasonography of the abdomen.
Once the diagnosis is made, continue the additional treatment as advised by Him.
Control of the stress and anxiety.
Soft bland diet.
Proper night sleep.
Avoid all the factors that instigate or enhance the problem. No alcohol or oily and spicy food.
If pancreatitis is found on ultrasound ten further detailed studies and investigations of MRCP will help further for proper diagnosis and management.
