Only over the past 3 days out of the blue i have had red spotty rash like area on the head of my penis. I know it not a std as I have only been with one partner vise versa. I wondered if it could be some sort of heat or friction rash and whether to leave it for a couple of days or see my gp

Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

I would keep a possibility of candidal balanitis, which can present as reddish, small papules. There is associated itching. However, itching is subjective.

f I was the treating doctor I would have asked you to apply a moderately potent topical steroid+antifungal combination cream (clotrimazole+beclomethasone cream), twice daily for a few days.

You should clean the area with just plain water and avoid using soaps, antiseptics etc in that area.

Avoid sexual contact with your partner for a week.

If your partner complains of vaginal discharge or vulval pruritus, treat her as well.

Regards
