What Is The Cause Of Dark Spot On Toe?

Hello, today I noticed a random bluish/blackish spot on the right side of my pinky toe and I'm starting to get concerned. I never noticed it till today. I'm thinking it might be skin cancer or perhaps it was because of my shoes, like a blister but I highly doubt it. If anyone could please help me it would be greatly appreciated (:

Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Skin cancer does not appear during one day. So I would not go that far with your suspicions. However you should not leave it alone. Dark spot on the skin (like a mole) especially in the strange locations should be verified by dermatologist.
Dermatologist using dermatoscope is able to tell if the lesion is suspicious or not. If it is, should be removed and examined by pathologist.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
